Best, maybe. Most expensive, yes. I'm not a huge fan of the Les Paul myself, however the Explorer and Flying V are awesome.
Gibson annoy me by the very few Left handed guitars they make :neutral: I actually own a Stratocaster at the moment.

I'm not really a pro, but I can say that it's true. I've been playing for 1 year, tho with no help but I'm looking forward to get in a school, and I can say that in the past things were different from the present. When I first started to play it, my fingers seemed to not be made to play guitar, but then with the practice and the jamming, I don't really notice the pain.  :D
