I've just noticed a detail on the guides that seems rather outdated. With regard to the step that says, "turn frame limiter off", you should actually leave it on, since SA:MP now has an /fpslimit command, which you should set to slightly under your average FPS (you can find out your average FPS by using a program like FRAPS, which displays your FPS on the screen).

The point of setting it to slightly under your average is to help prevent the lag caused by when you get significant FPS fluctuation, whilst maximising game smoothness.

nVidia's laptop video cards has extremely weak FPS with anti-aliasing.. Try using the 8 series guide, but set anti-aliasing to 0.

5570 is just like a weaker 9600GT

Try with Catalyst, removing all AA stuff, etc...

But well, you'll not run GTA IV fine on max settings with 5570, Unless you have 4GB memory and a quad core processor.

I have a 9600GT, Phenom II X6 1055T and i can't run on max, because my memory is 2GB DDR3 1333.

Running on med quality. --- 35 to 60 fps. (night)

Well here, with my ATi Radeon HD4870 XFX 512MB (OC: 970 / 1100) I can run it on 35-60 FPS if on Low. Medium: 25-35 and high: 18-28 :P CCC are set on high also. (Quality) with the fan running on 100% = 4,000RPM.. = 39C when not used, and 50C when running a game.

PS: Core 2 Quad Q9400 (Slightly over-clock to 2,70 Ghz from 2,66 Ghz) + 3GB DDR2 667 Mhz

In near future, I either plan to change my motherboard (Gigabyte E-G41MFUS-2H Rev. 1.0) to a one with SLI and get another HD4870.. or, I will just get an 6970..

Is a 40mhz overclock really mentionable? :O
Oh and by the way, SLI is nvidia. For 2 AMD cards its Crossfire.
And i wouldnt run my GPU fan on constant 100%. Its noisy and reduces the life span. Just turn it on Automatic from catalyst control center and it will adjust the speeds depending on the temperature.

If you plan buying a new computer, wait till 2012, because this year, AMD's bulldozer series are getting released (16-core/8-core processor)

Bulldozer series promisses delivering 50% more perfomance than actual i7's.

About video card, don't use Crossfire, it's not good, consumes more energy, and you'll need a better refrigeration system.

I'd sugest wait more for 2012 also. 7000's/8000's series are comming up.

By the way, ATI doesnt exists no more, it's AMD Radeon now.

that's the AMD Radeon HD6990, actual world's fastest comercial gaming video card.
