HDD's don't improve gaming in any way... no matter specs.
By the way, i think everyone is underestimating the Core 2 processors. I currently use a E4300 and a Q8200, Don't need better stuff than a quad core for audio engineering, gaming, simulation, triple screen and photoshop ( sometimes

).
If you're upgrading it, for around 100 bucks you can get a Q6600 on ebay or something. Duo Cores go away much cheaper overall though.
I would never get AMD stuff unless it's to sell it later. Also, getting one of these new sockets ( for some reasons these dumbasses at Intel made 7 different ( ? ) sockets ) isn't smart neither, I would wait for a socket that lives a little longer.
