I was the director for a while a few years back when Jordan was leading it, I took over for around half a year I think it was then it was handed down to Ben I went private after a discussion with Jordan.

So yeah, I'd get accepted quickly. We're in desperate need of experience members before can we find time to train new staff. Be patient, thats all I can say.

As a reminder and clarification: Air Divsion are permitted to close airspace temporarily only after consultation with ATC and authorization from ATC. It is not the job of the Air Division to act as ATC, nor do they have such jurisdiction to control aircraft's movements except when authorized by ATC to close a small area of airspace. If this is being done for trivial matters, all airspace closure requests will be denied.

In the event of an Air Traffic Controller not being available, ARPD Air Division Flight Sergeants and above may act in the position of ATC's where it is deemed to be necessary for the security of the State of Argonath. Taking any action without consulting ATC will result in permanent removal of all rights.

How do you expect us to consult ATC when there is none available?

"Consult" implies your seeking the permission of ATC. You don't know who's ATC and who isn't at any one time, so attempt to make contact.

Civilians found interfering with a law enforcement situation can be arrested under state law, and I can have this enforced strictly, or ATC can understand that we will not ask for closure unless we have a damn good reason.

This means any civilian found flying in a manner which could interfere with a situation can be suspected, and consequently shot down.  This also means anyone giving permission for civilian access at that time can also be arrested for interfering.

While on the ground, I'm sure this is true. Consideration must, however, be given to the job we have to do to keep everyone - not just people with blue names - safe as they fly through the sky.

In fairness to the above, the number one priority in Argonath Airspace is the security of citizens.
As the Authority in regards to the skies of San Andreas, it must be pointed out that it is our responsibility to keep those we are aware of safe during their flight.

If an ATC is available and not responding to a threat, then I'd assume this would be classed as a major dereliction of duty and would therefore be illegal (to be confirmed by an Argonath Judge of the appropriate section...criminal law?).

Talking from a more objective point of view than, say, a criminal, I would like to point out that people in various positions have their own priorities. "Blue men", or law enforcement officers, naturally take the approach of "get the criminals". Our approach is to protect those on the ground and in the air...we have no motivation to "catch" people.

This requires more attention than it has previously been given by both parties. The matter is sensitive, and needs to be discussed from three points of view:
- Air Traffic Control
- Air Division
- ARPD Command (as I assume this is who the Air Division fall under).

I propose a private topic created on the Air Division forum for a more extensive discussion on the capabilities of all parties involved, keeping the priority of "civilians" at the top of our list.

He's been contacted and the issue has been resolved - the situation will remain as I have written, perhaps with a minor wording change or two to come later today regarding who can request an airspace control or closure, so that only high ranking officers can do it.

No, I couldn't see it as I didn't log in in last 15 days. And don't lie you had some account that was lost because that's excuse for everyone who want to hide when he/she joined server
