Knowledge of the server and a good background should be a goal rather than a requirement. I personally feel that whenever one gets picked for a certain job (whether it will be becoming an administrator, moderator, or TS Staff), they should have at least a somewhat good knowledge of English so that language barriers do not exist with other members.

And by the way, I come from a Russian background and speak Russian as main language. I learned (and still am learning) English for the last nine years. Though when comparing to regular Americans, I would say I am more advanced than them in English which is partially a sad but true fact.

Why you guys CONSTANTLY base people on there english, and not there personallity, or there knowlege of the server? eatch application you f**king see, you have a major chance on acceptence if you know perfect english, but dont know shit about the server!

No one has perfect english. I constantly mess up with my english and I'm a native speaker. I mean, I don't really care if people have bad english, as long as it's understandable. I correct close friends with english to help them, not make them feel bad.

And who do you think you are to flame ANYONE, doggi? No one should flame you, you should flame no one, even if you 'BEEP' censor it. The reason some applications require an english piece (varying from restrictions/requirements) is because you want a person who can clearly explain themself and you can understand them well. Maybe they want to know their english skills so they can improve it.

If a group will not accept you because you do not have very good (or above average) english, thats pretty bad (unless they offer to help you and you refuse, then thats your part). I do not see a problem with asking someone for their english skills and denying one because he or she types a barely legible version of english.

As for me - I specially build the Russian sentences and I do not even hide it... I just prefer to talk a simple English with the rich Russian meaning... 
Also I am lazy to correct typo and noticed mistakes... 

If I will start talking the perfect English - nobody will understand me... lol (we already have here examples)
