Buying New PC,Does game run well?

How could those do 40 fps on medium?...... Maybe at 1280x720.

Cause i have less than 40 fps on
Athlon II x3 @ 3.3ghz
4GB DDR3

And im playing on 1680x1050. Resolution is a huge difference. If you get 40 fps on 1024x768 then youll get 20 fps on 1080p (Thats 1920x1080 by the way)

E8400 (Core 2 Duo) and 3GB here and running fine at 40FPS on medium, sometimes even on high...
Intel just makes more powerful processors for less cores and that's the end of it. An example of i5-750
(4 cores) and 1050T (6 cores) which both perform the same, i5 even better on rendering purposes.

Yes yes. But dont get a 9 series GPU anymore. Get a GTS 450 or a HD 5770. GTX 460 would be very good if your PSU and budget allows

To be honest, if you couldnt youd have a pretty shit PC. Most games only require a dual core at 2.5ghz and a video card with 512mb video memory.

For example the HD 5450 has 1GB Video memory. But still its worse than a 3 year old mid range card with 512mb memory.

"Can i run it" pretty much sucks. It tells you if you can fire up the game but it doesnt mean you can play it smoothly without lagging.

Actually I think it shows you whether you can run it on minimum settings.

my old laptop could load up games too good for it, and would lag while playing them.

And even if you could run a game with those settings i doubt anyone would want to play on 1024x768..

Well, San Andreas kinda Maxes out a 1280x(forgot the number) or 1366x(forgot the number) depending on what aspect ratio screen you have, loads of people use 1024x768

Personally I play games like Hawx 2, Max Settings on 1600x900  <3
