I feel it would be fairy difficult to distinguish who's boss when it's you along with a few of your family members, as well as several friends. Stand your ground, and face him one on one. Or at least by smart about how you go about ruining the arseholes life. Do what Panda said, use your brain, not your fists.

I mean, if he attacks you, don't just let him beat you up, defend yourself to the point that allows you to get him off of you, if you need to, have people around you whenever possible so that people can see the that prats behaviour.

As punishment, I had two days off at school and was reported to police for assault. I regret it very much because it can lead to jail, I was do not myself just felt like I had demons in my head. Do not want you to be in the same situation as me.
