Is Argonath unique? Yes.. Tho, don't call others servers "shit" because you can't play on them or can't write a good story(some1 killed my father so i come here to kill 'em = NOTGOOD)
They're all differents.. and people from those RPG servers might also call Argonath "shit" - they're all opinions.

I don't think it is good that you're saying like other RPG servers are just shit. I am pretty sure there are somebody else browsing over forums and when/if they see this. It doesn't look good. Honestly it ruins some of the reputation. We should respect other servers. Of course if you think a server is "shit" as you refer them to be you could keep it in your own mind. We should fully respect other multiplayer gaming communities and not talk shit about them.

Well, yes it is maybe not a server you prefer to play on, but I am sure other people love it. So, like I've always said;

Also, if they are all balls and shit, why do they have over 20 times more players than Argonath, on non-peak hours?...Seriously -.-

I do not see how adding an online radio that you can listen to online, adding jobs that you do NOT need other players for,giving TWO lines of chat available to post longer messages,adding a bank system that earns you money for keeping your savings in a bank and others seem to "Limit the game-play", WHAT limits the gameplay is Argonath's RPit and the /me command replacing all the roleplay commands and owners rejecting all the new options SA:MP offers you.

Ideas are rejected when they do not fit within the vision, are simply not possible to script or problems would ensue if it were to be scripted. Most servers do not think about potential issues which is why most of their scripts are horribly laggy and are still using old inefficient gamemodes and methods, but that's a different matter. The Rp it is a good attitude to have, use your imagination you can do anything. Yes, scripts can help further in some cases we know that, but scripts are not always a necessity. You don't need to use every new feature that SA:MP offers.

Seriously though, there's a reason why Argonath RPG is so successful. Other communities feel that restricting users and their ideas is the way to go, but proven time and again, all that does is create issues where users cannot express themselves and have fun. Considering that Argo, and it's originating community, Anke, created the GTA multiplayer RPG gamemode, I'm amazed that everyone else went that route when Argo had clearly gotten it right the first time

Hardly an improvement, unless your role-play is based mainly on long descriptions (which is kind of boring IMHO).

Commands are not supposed to create role-play. Players are supposed to create role-play. Additional scripts are only to visualize it better for other players, and in some cases, clear out role-play assumptions.

Every server is unique, at least that's what they're trying to be.

Argonath is very unique as it's one of the few that don't force RP, you can basically do whatever you want as long as it suits the administrators' will.

I do like some others servers more than Argonath, it's just that Argonath has the people.

I'm talking about syncing arm movements as in /chat when you talk outside of a car,/engine getting back, ability to lock a bike(Yes, I'm sick of the fucked up script that allows people to drive locked bikes, seriously), custom interiors etc.

We have Argonath Government Radio. Also this doesn't even add anything to the game-play itself...

With no style-binded radios like Hip-Hop only,Reggae only,Rock/Metal only ones, with DJs being a few and you can't actually listen to it while In Game without a program running such as your browser or a media player.

You have to agree, only earning jobs are Cops and Medics, Fireman missions are the only ones that actually give you money if you work alone.
My problem with being a cop? Here's an example of what happens when I approach a suspect(Happens most of the time when I'm on duty)

DEAD!

Again...

* TheGreasyChopper approaches ANOTHER suspect.

* TheGreasyChopper goes to him and starts talking with him.

*Suspect goes OMG DIE COP. And kills me*

So, Driver job, [State] cars pretty much fuck the scripted job up, that's all.

*30 seconds later requester gets a car, while you drive to get him*

And other communities have 300/400 players online in peak hours while Argonath has 160 in good days :P
