What can I do with a passport?
With a passport, you will be able to buy properties and businesses to begin your life in Vice City
as a citizen. You will also be able to apply for a driver's license at a driving school to buy a car.

What!!?.. OMG! wait a minute... why do we need Passport to buy props and houses and get driving licence?
Why we can't use passport to travel from City to another, like in Vice city as we know there is two cities we can put police officer in the middle between the two cities and when someone wants to travel the P.O checks his Passport and see if he can go from city to city or no!
So by this we will create more objectifs to police officer job so they have to secure the city border land, sea and air and if someone pass the borders without permission he will be suspected and arrested (This will make predators and SWAT and patriots, more useful and maybe Hunter too!)..
- My idea is why we don't make a N.I.C (National Identity Card) applications topic (like CMB one) so everyone can apply and get his N.I.C from Washington PD after answering some questions like:

• Name IG:
• Skin (Player)
• Rank: (Normal Citizen, President, Minister...etc)
• ID: C20, C30, C15, C101 "Citizen number of registrations"...etc)

Who gets this N.I.C can get driving licence, buy props, Cars... etc and no need for passport
I hope this idea gets vote of everybody who want a realistic life in ArgonathRPG VC:MP server

Vice City is not two cities. It is a city split into two islands. A National Identity Card would also be the same thing as a national Passport, which would require all servers to support it.

Not needed. Every server has its own system of passports anyways.

I call them cities i don't care if they are two islands or not i just said why do we need passport? let's make a look on the real world!! They don't need passport to buy props and houses, they just travel with their passport but i don't know if you can make this or not

The NIC would complicate things anyways. Also, the United States of Argonath treats Vice City as ONE entity, not two separate cities/countries.

if money cheaters won't be detected, they can apply for license&passport and get what they want, ANYWAY. It doesn't change anything. If they would buy props&cars without passport system, and IF they would get caught, their cars/props would be wiped off anyway.. so what's the point, really?

the only good thing I see about this that it will stop newbies from getting 90000k, then buying a house, and going inactive for ever...but it never happens anyway, 'inactive' guys can still get a passport and buy shit..

and on the topic I think the idea is dumb, this isn't some RLRP thing. What next, gun licenses?

It takes them 7 days to get a Passport, and they must apply for a License. They'd likely be caught before then if they were money cheating. The Passport/License system just slows them down more.

is it really worth to slow EVERYONE by 7 days, rather than allow money cheaters to buy shit and then have the option to delete ownership, if proven they were money cheating?

incase someone money cheats admin delete ALL his cash, belongings, not just what he made during money cheating..

I feel like 7 days-thingy is just unfair, and find it funny how everyone will have to wait 7 days after server starts to buy anything, even if they will be able to make millions (impossible, but just giving out an example)

such system works fine in SAMP since else server would be flooded with inactive's houses/carruchos/businesses, but in here that's not really a problem, IMO.
1.cars - I doubt anyone cares, since other's cars will act like state cars anyway, kinda
2.businesses - they lose stock so owner can't come back from inactivity and collect millions
3.houses - well, it doesn't really make a difference if someone active owns a house or someone inactive does, does it?

Yes. The other reason why the system exists is to prevent people from randomly spamming the server, and the database, with properties that they just purchased only to play for a day or two and then never come back again. The Passports and Licenses are meant to be a bit hard to get so that people are determined to come back and keep playing, rather than just get everything they want in one day, and then never come back to the server ever again.

i understand, but
the server will be flooded by 'inactive' props/businesses from guys who turned inactive (losing interest for example) anyway, is it really worth to make newbies' world harder by adding 7 days limit? besides, its not like newbies can make enough money without playing for 7 days to buy a house, business, car, whatever

Did you know that many people living in their places of origin ("home" nation) may not actually have their own passport? Usually as they won't need one unless they were planning to go abroad, it being used a lot in global travel.

Currently, passports and driving licenses mean that people would be directly suggested to take a look at the server guides, and it could even spark their interest in Argonath RPG as a whole. Someone passing by, say if they were visiting to cause more trouble than add to gameplay would most likely not go to the hassle (in their point of view) of looking at the site/forums and making a well rounded application.

Adds a bit more roleplay, and could potentially give more tasks for the Court system, police and even new and upcoming services/businesses - driving schools and soliciting firms for starters.

Just a note: inactive property owners do have certain assets removed if it is proven that they have not been playing for an extended amount of time. Money is generally returned to their bank accounts.
