I can answer this question for u. The reason is that when I do want to drive a car that I bought, then I should be able to do it. Everyone should have the option to choose whether to let others drive their cars or not. We should not force our understandings and visions on other peoples. I dont support locking on default nor unlocking on default, I support that every single person could make this decision.

I didnt cast a vote because I dont really care if my cars are locked or unlocked by default. I dont mind people using my vehicles but clearly there are people that do and therefore they should have the option of doing so.

I share exactlly the same opinion stated above. :)

I see as rather much to be honest, Yes I'm aware that the vehicles despawn and I'm also aware that IV:MP can hold pretty much an unlimited amount of vehicles but i still believe there should be some limits at least... and not of the unlimited kind...

I don't really see the need of having automatic carlock. If you don't want the cars getting stolen, have one car instead so you can keep it locked from others.

Guys let ne tell you a Little story about argonathrpg's car History  for 2 years in Samp For Exemple every person could own 1 car each Person and it was great you locked the car everytime you got in if you didnt want someone to use it, after 2 years 1 idea camed up Ye they Raised the ammount to 3 cars each, Some people disliked it someone got very happy about it well 1 year after that People still giving ideas to rise to 5cars they will not do that ever.
however this is samp but still a part of what argonathrpg stand for


I suggested the limit to 3 cars each person in ivmp and dellstorm and others convinced me to tryout for unlimited for a while to keep players happy and here you guys come and complains about you have to lock your cars? we not gonna pump server full of scripts to babysits you.
What you guys gonna consider today is ( i want a limit on 3cars and lock them manually easy and no problem)
or consider (a carlimit over 10car + and acept i have to lock them myself if i dont want people to use it)

I realy dont see a need of this automatic carlocksystem in any sort of way

Anything over three is a bit over the top as I basically said before three would be much more appropriate. I do remember only be able to own one vehicle in the SA:MP server very well too Tandtrollet.

Over the top ? Every player should have liberty to decide how to use his money. If player feels like he needs 10 cars then why shouldn't he have them ? I mean he has not got those vehicles for free. Regular players were already "punished" for having lot of cars in the means of reducing car prices dramatically without offering any compensation. That took away pretty decent percentage of some players wealth. Now the addition of car limit is in order ? I sincerely hope that IF the car limit is implemented then its done in more decent way than the price cut.

/carlock, I dont get why there is such a huge debate over this. Is the laziness going down now people people expecting cars to lock automatically. Just use /carlock, it only takes 1 second. If you have 10 cars, just lock them if you are so worried about people taking them.

My friend.. try to carlock 16 cars in 2 different locations every time u crash. ;) some cars in 3rd city, some in 2nd.. u trying to play in 1st.. thats your big deal..

Guys let ne tell you a Little story about argonathrpg's car History  for 2 years in Samp For Exemple every person could own 1 car each Person and it was great you locked the car everytime you got in if you didnt want someone to use it, after 2 years 1 idea camed up Ye they Raised the ammount to 3 cars each, Some people disliked it someone got very happy about it well 1 year after that People still giving ideas to rise to 5cars they will not do that ever.
however this is samp but still a part of what argonathrpg stand for

I dont understand, why you dont see a problem when a person has to carlock 16 cars every time they crash... especialy when they are in different locations around all 3 citys..

And i get the point with babysiting.. but if we have a different thing than samp, then we need new different things than samp.. such as, carlock as default, or remote: /carlock all.

This all comes down to a point of laziness... Lazy is not acceptable...

So sitting in and out of ten cars which are placed around map and locking them would take so much time that as soon as they finish locking them their game crashes again and they have to do it all over again.  If not wanting to do that is laziness then I bet most people in the server are lazy. Doing so is pointless and annoying. And as it seems we have 2 extreme opinions here, then the solution I offered would serve the best solution imo. That was to let every people decide if he wants his cars to be locked when he logs in or not. I se nor problem of using the /carlock command on every single car if the cars would remember the locked state they are in after relogging. In other words, car locking state should be savable and the last applied state should be called after logging in.

This is not the issue of wheter the carlock should be applied by default or not. Its the issue of people having freedom to choose what they do with their property that they have worked for to get. And doing repetitive, pointless actions is something that scripts should do and not humans. There are no jobs scripted that are based on doing repetitive actions and then getting money for every next action that is carried out. Applying the /carlock command on every single car is exactly the same thing, only difference is that u dont get money for it.

Who would find all of your cars around LC and drive them at the same time? Does it matter if they drove a car of yours? I don't think so, you will crash in few minutes, and you'll get your car back.

:D disagree ! I would love to see others people drive my car only if i am not driving it. Why would you guys want to see them autlocked whenever you player spawn ?? I am 100 % Agree with ted .

If you need the car lock it, if you don't need it don't lock it . . . more simple than that . . .

Having car's not locked by defualt is just complication and waste of time, nothing more.

Also, the vehicles were locked by defualt some time ago and as far I know nobody moaned.
