I haven't seen the name Lavamike in years. Plus, the script is most likely outdated from what these guys can do nowadays (back then, these floods are unheard of).

It doesn't has to be that specific script, it was mainly an idea.
It could be re-scripted or updated with the same ideology and I don't think that the filterscript has been removed..

I checked the filterscript and found what I also found at that time.
The bots do actually nothing else as connect and time out. They do not send a lot of packets other than the connection. This means that the difference between a time-out and a kick-out is only important at times the server is full or nearly full, at which times the number of bots connecting is limited anyway.

It might help a little bit, but notifying me to routeblock the IP of the attacker usually works better.

If the attack is done by one individual, can't his ISP be contact?

Don't worry that gets done pretty much every time it happens. Provided no one or many are along that route.

He's probably behind a proxy by now, but I don't think he's been using it forever (not that he planned to be banned in order to attack the server later  :trust:).

Not a hacker and wouldn't give the satisfaction to these people doing it. I say "these" as I believe it's actually been more than one person although may be not linked with each other.

Every time he uses a proxy, one less proxy to use by others.

As for provider, most kids do not know that the police takes 'interruption of an online service' pretty serious, if they get enough reports.

You can see the real assholes of Argonath when this happens, they are the ones spamming n*gger and flaming thinking people wont see it due to the chat being spammed....  :poke:
