Sugar: Sweet-talking will not work in all situations.

There are three types of learners. The first learn by instruction, such as good players who obey the administration.

The second learn by example, such as those junior members who are influenced by the habits of the veterans.

The last type have to piss on an electric fence before they learn, like the occasional retard who ignores all warnings and just has to get banned before learning. Unfortunately there are many of them here, which makes our job of administrating even harder.

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.

Negativity isn't required to get a point across. You can be assertive without being aggressive. ;)

Yes, these are the people who receive positive influence from their experiences and do not just follow rules because they are being made to or they will be seen as an outcast and swiftly banned.
They will follow the rules because they realize it happens to be important to others and someone has politely or nicely asked them to respect the rules, honor others.

Unfortunately some are constantly negative and this gives them a false sense of always being in the right about everything or being superior, this is a place to have fun not to moan or cry.

However constantly being positive also means you persuade yourself everything's hunky dory, sometimes you must be critical :).

I firmly believe that this is the dumbest rule/statement in the history of the forums, as you have just rendered a lot of individual board/topic rules impracticable.

Why do you think this?

I believe this applies to topics that do not have any restriction. Certain boards such as SA:MP courts have post restrictions, not necessary "gtfo my topic" but rather "only authorized personnel may post", such as plaintiffs, defendants, lawyers, and judges.

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.

This, as well as Unban requests.

What about boards such as, for example, groups and families? A place where the "get out of this topic" approach is required and should be encouraged.

This is the sort answer i was looking for when i quoted your post. I was curious as to which boards rulkes you reckon this piece of advice renders impracticable.

I guess the subject is clear. But it seems some people get the conversation off-topic.

I'm not saying people shouldn't be allowed to post anywhere they want, I'm saying that it's a careless statement that nullifies way too many unwritten and written rules, and as it is said by a owner, it will be taken too literal.

When you open a group topic, you are pretty much providing a venue for your group to interact with the rest of the community. As such, anyone may post in group topics; if the group desires that all discussion be exclusive to their members, they are free to make their own discussion area, such as a closed forum.

This does not mean that flaming the groups will be allowed. Keep in mind though that Argonath administration are not fans of people isolating themselves from interaction with everyone else, so as long as you post (with some exceptions, such as Unbans, Courts, etc) in this forum, expect anyone to be able and allowed to post on your topic.

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.

Argonath is a public forum where all members are free to post.
This means that if you open a topic, everyone is allowed to post in it, regardless if they are someone you like or not, regardless if you like what they post or not.
This contradicts with Unban Requests board.

This contradicts with Unban Requests board.

Exceptions such as Unban Requests and SA:MP Moderator Applications are quite obvious considering they restricted it server-wise.

I would expect you have more common sense than to take everything in absolute literalness down to the letter.

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.
