Many major billionaires(but especially microsoft and google) are gonna work together to make a damn friggin asteroid miner.
And before any of you tag it as science fiction, or go ahead and say too complicated or any of that.
This thing is very easy to do actually, they can simply use robots to mine it,or bring the asteroids safely to earth where we mine it.
Either way, when this goes through, the value of almost every precious and rare element, will go z000000m down.

Gas, gold, silver, diamond EVERYTHING is in there in bigass amounts.

Approximately theres over 2 million mineable asteroids each year(yes many of them move and many replace them too). We just go there,take them back and boom,ice water metals EVERYTHING.

If this goes through all our resource problems will be solved. They wont cost nearly as much as the travel to moon mars e.t.c, its easy as launching a satellite, and the funding wont be a problem since the money they make from selling this will be like a 100 times more.

Ofc this will make these guys rich as hell, but for us, our resource problems are solved!

Correction, all their resource problems will be solved. Companies such as Google and Facebook are worth billions, but have not lifted the global standard of living nor boosted any third-world countries out of the poverty zone since their inception.

Actually no, i dont know about facebook but google has saved tonnes of lives.

The only way to save lives is not to donate billions, google has since its beginning tried to amass people towards making the world a better place, if anything google has raised billions through its direct and indirect awareness plans. It has tried to raise awareness by a variety of ways such as youtube(giving the non profit its own section, and then populating and featuring its content).
Google has devoted alot of manpower to it, and has practically helped indirectly many others.
It has optimized its data for people having lesser knowledge and resources, it helped potential people in countries like mine(India, 3rd world) to find proper knowledge, and actually become a expert where we have nobody to learn from.

I personally love google for all it has done for the world.


Back on topic, If we have a shitload of resources, google and other companies will want to sell them(d'uh). Best way to sell is at a very low price so that everyone buys from them, if people who buy from them at a very low price as compared to the original, guess who also benefits?
All the prices on stuff like gas=dead.

plus we are running into shortage of many things such as helium, this will eradicate that and allow us to sit on heaps of it at cheap.
This will also allow us to find rare medicinal stuff, thus allowing for many new cures and spread of existing ones.

Also in the process we will probably find several new metals and elements, which will not only contribute to science, but many of them will probably be useful to us in many ways. They can change our lives..

They already rule the world. Not in direct or official government office, but in a system.

It is what we know as corporations and politics.

What exactly is the problem with that? They already have more money than they can spend in their 100 year rich lifetime, and they cant buy magic pills to increase their age either.

We look at our own profits, science and humanity and us benefit, so why do we care if another company gets rich for it?

Also these companies already control the world, even the governments as you can clearly see from the recent CISPA, they want to give the private corps as much power as the govt, INCLUDING MAKING CYBER LAWS.

Sadly..no..
metals for pc parts are available in abundance, so yeah buying them wont be cheaper, they wont even bring them from the asteroids yet, cause it cheaper to mine em from the ground.
