Also only 12% of the population attends church.

Just to make sure, I double checked the amount of members of the norwegian church, it's less then 80% of the population, not to mention 1/3'rd out of those are not christians, and out of the other 2/3'rds only 0.5/3'rd practices christianity (My assumption).

I'm registered to the swedish church, so is my entire family (including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc), only two practice christianity, and out of the rest only half identifies themselves as christians.
(It's also a BIG family, italians aint got shit on us)

My statement was based on the membership of the church in Norway.
If the people being a member of the church really belive in god and so on is a different story.

It's important to maintain a clear separation of church and state. If they can be one of the ones to pull it off (and not just let it continue in the background as has happened in other countries), hats off to them. I just hope the move was as a result of thinking, not of pressure.
