Yes i know you are not robots, yes you keep the anger out of the game and instead of yelling at them u kick them which u make them anger :)

Personally not, and whoever does it, is going against the guide, since we are told that number one priority is communication, rather laying on punishment commands (at least that's the way I work.. letting my anger go off, and not showing it or using my commands for my own 'justify'.)

Wait, revert roles here for a minute.

What would you do if you just kicked someone for 'provoking administration', then that person comes back and says 'Kids these days...'
Would you just let it slip by like nothing happened even though the person is breaking yet another rule?

its not in rule breaking, and wasnt directed for him, so lets not going on my situation since the topic will get locked for reason : [email protected] and moaning..., Yes i agree with moose

I do hope you're not believing your own statements here. First it was directed to him, now all of a sudden, no longer. You were kicked for disrespecting and provoking two times and I think you may be really happy you were not issed a tempban. I think it's clear enough that you directed that message to the administrator and not to somebody else. Be honest, not only with us, but with yourself in the first place..

I dont see hpw that breaking a rule. There is no way to even prove who thats directed at, for all an admin could know, it could have been a continuation of a conversation with someone else.

I have always been against kicks, seeing as they do nothing but agrevate people and the only difference between a kick and a warn is the 3 seconds it takes to hit the connect button. If they don't calm down after a warn, tempban them, as no one is going to calm down in the short time it takes to relog.

I believe an Administrator will be able to see wether or not the person is continueing a subject or not. If he wasn't involved into any discussion at all beforehand, it sounds very odd to continue one after joining again and directly making such a remark, dont' you think?

Kicks were made for a reason and not for a single purpose. Kicks do calm down many people when they realise they cross the line, except for those who do believe they know best, even though reality may be different.
Anyhow, I'd suggest to keep this ontopic as talking about such subjects is a touchy matter.

Yes lets keep on the topic and not on my situation. I don't want some im moaning.
So as i think players shouldnt get kick for complain mail they can be whispered or warn. Kicking them pisses them off, trust me.

This more seems like you just want to lower the punishment when it should not be. I think a tempban would fit more, since it gives the person a forced brake to calm down.

Im not trying im just saying what i think, since everyone can say what he thinks. A tempban would be worst, but if he continues provoking yes sure tempban would be good, but just for the email tempban cmon...

My opinion.

The commands should be a last option for an admin. I can recall where I've said in /p 'e'yo f*cker :D' and an admin kicked me for: flaming, provoking.

Of course a player will return angry and upset because you didn't even send him a single PM and asked 'why do you call him a f*cker? You know flaming and provoking is against the rules?' and he'd probably say 'he's my friend' and the admin should simply reply 'ok, but please refrain from shouting ey f*cker to your friend's in main chat' and just leave the situation dead. But, no instead you kick the player and he returns angry because you kicked him instead of pming.

To be fully honest, not to moan, but doing /kick in such situations just gives you an angry player in return.

Dear administrators - doing /pm [ID] <msg> is much easier than /kick [ID] <reason> ;-)

If you are here for doing random event stuff, I'd recommend a free roam server. We're not that anymore. We're a roleplay server.

Dear MrBorsh,

Thanks for your professional input, I can clearly see you have a lot of experience with server administration
Argonath has been running for almost 6 years and has a very strong administration in all of its servers
The administration team contain highly trusted members and we aim to treat all players equally with the up most respect

The SA:MP server, during peak times, can reach up to 120 players
During such times, we are faced with constant threats of players breaking the rules, hacking the server and beginners seeking help
The last thing we want to deal with is someone moaning about their punishment

If you get removed from the server, don't join back if you are going to moan about it, you will be further punished
Furthermore, if you feel your initial punishment was not necessary, the email which has been provided to you will have a much better outcome than breaking even more rules

Our management makes sure we do our jobs correctly, and that is exactly why you should use the email provided
Moaning about someone in game will not achieve anything, however, speaking with our management via the email will

Just remember that administrators are, just like you, humans, they have feelings and limits
As much as we try to remain calm, playing with our feelings or going over our limits might change the outcome of things
A player who cannot accept their punishment (valid or not) is definitely going to have an affect on us

However, we do also make mistakes, and if you were wrongly punished then you should be an adult about it - Stop moaning, report the incident to the appropriate people and go back to enjoying your time on Argonath

My post went off track slightly, not aimed at anyone in particular, just a general note to all those moaners...

I already warned to all admins that I do not like to see /kick on players unless it's really needed several weeks ago.
If you see admins using it frequently without appropriate reasons, then report them to me directly..
I will deal with them myself..

One thing I want you to understand. Players do not have the right to choose their own punishment, or to determine which punishment would fit their (or someone else's) situation.
That right belongs to the administration team, and they choose as they see fit in their personal opinion and with regard to the situation and atmosphere on server. If the atmosphere is relaxed, and there is no flaming, whining and complaining, punishments are bound to be less strict. On the other hand if there is constant disturbance by some player who feel their long time (non) presence allows them to be critical of everyone but them selves, expect punishments to be more strict.
If in at any time you feel the administration is punishing too strong, or not strong enough, you are welcome to take this up with the management, and there is one place where you can make 8 people receive this at the same time.

Remember that your own behaviour towards other players and the adminstration team determines the nest punishment given to you or anyone else.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.
