In Character ( IC ) - Used for players trying to get away with flaming, swearing and insults.


Out of Character ( OOC ) Used for anything else, including trying to powergame and metagame (see below)
 


Metagaming ( mixing )- Having the courtesy of greeting people by the name over their head instead of flaming them at once. Forbidden on some servers who somehow do allow people to use the player ID for loads of stuff.



Powergaming - Also known as forced roleplay. Trying to do things your way and not allowing input from others. Also using S(hit)/F(**k) or Y(ou)/N(igga) counts as powergaming, even if on some servers where powergaming is forbidden this is seen as roleplay.

Powergaming has two meanings and both are equal considered bad. The first one is roleplaying actions that are not humanly possible. The second is roleplaying unfair, not letting other parties that are participating to the roleplay scenario, a chance to roleplay their part of the roleplay.

I don't always feel the need of doing a /me when I pull my gun. But I and as many others have been killed surely several times by someone pulling their combats from the ass and start shooting when your in the middle of typing your next reply, It's an cowards way of killing another player. Thats why I always do a /me in a roleplay to alert the other player and give him time to respond to me pulling my pistol at him. It's not becous I think they need new glasses, it's becous I give them an fair chance.
