Okay, I can understand the thought of it is somewhat disgusting, but seriously, the only real problem I can think of is the cost of maintaining and cleaning the pool. When you take a piss, your urine is sterile - but only to begin with. Metabolic waste means bacteria can grow. What is done about this? Chlorine is used which prevents any bacteria from growing in the urine.

You know sometimes you get those pools that smell ridiculously chloriney and burn the absolute shit out of your eyes? That is the chlorine mixing with urine and any other foreign substances such as sweat. I hope you all shower before you go into the pool! You can imagine my shock when I learnt this and related it to the swimming pool I used to go to when I was younger, where I used to come out with absolutely stinging eyes. 

Actually, come to think of it, I just realised that the jacuzzi at the gym I go to always has a strong chlorine smell, especially when the jets are turned on... oh god.

Wrong? Heh, it may not be nice and probably costs whoever owns the pool a considerable amount of money, but hey, loads of people do it - more so than some seem to realise.

And if I do pee in the pool, I make sure that nobody is near me - mainly because I would not like to see their faces should they realise it's a little bit warmer where I am. You say you'd pee in the sea, but the urine could still then interact with people around you. Eeeew, digusting...
