Why do cops get so much leeway?

what if he report? i have been 3days full active, did more than 30 reports, when 4-5+ admins online, for such a reasons stated in this topic, nothing happened mate, /report ID is just a shit, so Ron LET YOUR GUN TO TALK.

Tell me, how do you nothing happened? Because you didn't see a warm/kick/ban? We have other ways to deal with incidents.

why regular player gets abused by cops and why admin always say "report on [email protected]"

Every report is read, not every report is given a reply. Doesn't mean nothing has happened though.

Well, i did report but that's besides the point. I didn't post this to bash admins. I didn't post this to start a big argument. I don't recall ever asking for a script change in my post. Seems like a simple question to me. But hey, maybe i'm wrong.

Simple answer with another question to you: Most of "those" cops are usually new players in the server, should admins straight ban them?

Cop are not allowed to:
- suspect people without a roleplay reason
- shoot without giving a chance to surrender first
- shoot a suspect not showing weapons unless he is an uncooperative murdered/copkiller
- leave a surrendered suspect unattended
- jail a suspect that wishes to be investigated, within reasonable limits
- investigate a suspect that wishes to be jailed
If they break this rules they can be banned from doing this job apart from getting other punishments.

Suspects are not allowed to:

- fight or run after giving up.
If they break this rules they can get punished.

Nobody is allowed to:
- fight without roleplay reason
- flame, provoke and disrespect others
- exclude others from roleplay based on their experience, goup or knowledge of rules

Now for those players who have never read any topic and are just howling with the others.
Admins are:
- Allowed to punish only if they witness somethins. So if you get killed and spam the /report for 30 minutes telling the killer is a DMer it will not lead to punishment.
- Not ever taking your word for something. People lie.
- Not your mother or your kindergarten teacher. Need your butt wiped? Run to them.
- Not your personal ATM or teleporting machine. Stuck in the middle of nowhere? Get a taxi or walk.
- Here to help you. So if you flame and provoke them constantly, how much help do you expect to get ?

I'm sick of players like you that pass all day long moaning but spend 0 minutes to help new players. Cops also wish that criminals would follow every rule, but they don't. And you don't see many of them making moaning topics.

Admins respond to most reports, but most just don't use the /go command... if it's /go..

I wish every player would respect the rules. Perhaps make a script that they need to be registered 2 weeks reading the rules before they can move.

Every reports are checked. It's not because you don't see "Admin is looking into your report" that nothing is done.
Generally I don't use /on that much (depends on the report reason), because it tends to people change their behaviour and act innocent when they know they are observed.

All reports aren't exactly read, most are but not all.

When it comes to topics like this, there are two answers. One from veterans who say what they experience on the server and those from admins/owners. I, personally trust the veterans opinions due to the fact that they will always be honest when it comes to questions like these, but admins/owners will always act blind when it comes to these matters. No matter how true a situation is, such as this, an admin or owner will never and I mean never admit that this is a problem. They will simply look the other way instead of attempting to solve a real problem.

Take the time out of your own gameplay to help teach newer players..it shouldn't always be up to a group of Administrators and Moderators to teach. If you truly do care about this community its the unspoken players who don't get their "5 minutes of fame" that help out newer players and try to show them the ropes about what roleplaying is.

Everyone has grown accustom to suspects no longer /guing and instantly pulling out a weapon and firing upon police. Don't try to tell me that I'm lying or spreading false information because I've played for both sides. I was apart of SAPD for a long time, and 95% of the criminals I have come across do it, and now I'm a Corleone member and I can honestly say myself, I would rather try to escape or kill the police rather than surrender..it's something we've all grown accustom to. Police have the /s1 , /s2 , and /s3 command and I see mostly all of them using the commands which gives the the legal right to use non-lethal or deadly force on a suspect based on the current situation.

If you have an issue with the way you are treated by police when not suspect, say he shoots your car maybe it is by accident, maybe he did it on purpose only he knows, and possibly you know. We have a report section on the ARPD website, USE IT! You can freely report freecops, and SAPD members for this purpose. If you refuse to take some time out of your day to take screenshots and help get these rulebreakers dealt with, then you have no reason to be posting moaning topics here. Obviously you have the time to post this topic, so explain to me why you don't have the time to take some screenshots and file a report or send an email to [email protected]? Do you also realize that 95% of the punishments handed out are those not seen to the public eye in SAMP? Why do you think you never get responses from the email? Because it's already been dealt with in an alternative way. You all think the mildest rulebreak should be punished with tempbans, and cops bans, and full bans when we have alot more efficient ways to deal with rulebreakers.

Get a clue and realize that it takes a full community effort to fix this problem, and not a lone group of helpers to do it ourselves.
