Why do cops get so much leeway?

Cops are given duty weaponry and extra rights/commands, by copbanning them, it restricts them from using those commands/tools as they have displayed that they can not use them correctly.
What more would you like? Would you like criminals to have their chance of buying and using weapons removed when they rulebreak? So they have to bunnyhop until shot to death if they're suspected?

ah ok, anyone clicked on Select all and trash my bad sorry :|
As the mail address forwards the complaint to 9 mail addresses at this time, it would be pretty much telling if all 9 people have done that.

you see this is bullshit
cop dm = copban
non-cop dm = real punishment

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Yep if the ZOMG veterans refuse to explain new people how to be a cop and tell them to do /duty and hunt orange dots then DMers get two chances before being banned.

I think we should have a week where every hour. Someone get's to be an admin.
Then we will subject them to several scenarios specifically involving cops.

Let's see how many of them forget that warnings or even kicks (and further punishments if due) is also involved alongside the actual cop-ban.
Really, there's so much more going on besides just handing out a punishment guys. I'm not saying that players has to be admins in order to understand it. But try to think from an objective approach on the problem, and you will find
far more going on than meets the eye.

It's one thing to complain, and another to use lies to backup your statements.

EXTRA Suggsestion for free:

How about we just remove the ability for players to kill eachother. And then change the server rules and scripts to "The Sims RPG".

Life has been a fucking hell recently, including accepting what has happened to me in the past. Dunno if life will ever get better but at the least I'm still hanging on. Lol.

It's hard work to be an admin or moderator, even more to be a manager or leader. You get all sorts of shit thrown at you and you get nothing in return for helping the community but shit from moaning players and respect from people that do understand what you are doing. I bet that the people that are moaning here won't last a day on the job.

It's hardly hard work. It's a matter of activity and time. And thinking.
That's what makes the work hard.

I coulnd't give two serious shits about some random dude whining and crying is heart out at admins because he thinks that Mama Noob Sim pulled out a gun to kill Papa PRO RP S/F OC/ICC Sim equals the death penalty and that new players must be given as much harsh punishments straight from day one as veterans get's.

Admins and moderators DO have a fairly difficult job.
They make decisions depending on the evidence they can get and what they can see.
There is no 'favouritism' involved.
They hand out punishments where punishments are given.

It works both ways, trigger happy cops force trigger happy criminals. Trigger happy criminals force trigger happy cops...Copbans are used as an alternative punishment as the job of a cop on the server can be mistaken heavily especially for new players such as misuse of the /su command and others, DMing as a cop is also abusing your duty issued weapons which is when a copban is handed out because technically your misusing a privilege offered by the scripts..maybe if we had RP criminals, we would have RP cops..technically 90% of the reported death matching we get is criminal to criminal death matching...so I don't think the issue of death matching lies solely on the police force..

This, however..

I've said to people in the ARPD and I'll quote what i said precisely.

ARPD forces in-game can be controllable, depends if the leader of the party is willing to be more depth in roleplay.
Sometimes we can get to the point in a well roleplay scene, but something will mess it up such as the other party takes out their weapons and leaves them idle with their hands after told to put it down as it is a security ris

Currently:
- If we spray them, the blast of nonsense occurs
- If we communicate, pushing and shoving will occur
- If one player from any party takes a step which leads all players there in a risk, then everyone will take their own way.

I suggest:
- Before you proceed to a criminal scene with many players around, be sure to contact the leader via PM and organize what's going to happen and how thing's should be done.
- Hold your members tight and make sure they are in a neutral act.

The leadership remains in power to those who are organizing the roleplay events. Sometimes inexperienced officers can have absolute no idea on how they should act properly in a situation where many people conducting it. That is why I'm developing a Desk Staff division in order to assist them, and those officers who do assist them will be rewarded.. what you'll be rewarded with? You'll see once RS5 comes live.

Anyone can do the above, if someone ruins a roleplay scenario - report them to their superiors if they have any or to the online administrators or else use [email protected]

Sometimes all it takes is someone (preferred to be in command) actually take command.
Yesterday my attention was drawn to a large group in Idlewood, where backup was asked for.
There were about 15 to 20 players present, without any suspects.
Cops were asked to stand back and not engage on /r, and (reluctantly) followed this orders.
Next it was funny how some of the 'roleplaying criminals' were asking in CB when they could start to shoot....and some leaders showed their capacity by telling not to shoot unless it was called for.
As usual some decided to jumpstart the action by fighting between each other, which led to 'orange dots' taking out their guns....and being tempbanned.
Strange enough the group dissolved right after that, as they found the scenario of a mass shootout was too hard to accomplish.....

During this time, cops did stand back as ordered, and stopped traffic from going near to the situation.
The only negative on them was not breaking up the roadblocks once the group had dissolved, which ledt short time later to minor incidents there.
Without the intervention to stand down, it would have become another DM fest with accusations flying to all sides. Now only a couple of players were disappointed not to be able to kill blue dots....
