Be attentive, I was talking back at Teddy's statement of preE1 prequel.

I realise that as it was pretty obvious. Still, I don't get your point. Yes, the order of the movies doesn't reflect their release dates, but they can still go either way with 7.

He was talking about Pirates of the Caribbean....

Oh yes.

Just think for a moment why Star Wars movies became episodes.

Exactly, they were numbered by episodes to show the chronological order. But due to the rumors of "original story", I may partly agree that they can make a sequel, although that is highly unlikely.

Really don't understand how people can be excited for the 23rd James Bond film, but not for the 7th Star Wars film.

Thankful that Disney bought up Star Wars instead of Cartoon Network. We've all seen how Cartoon Network created a epic failure of copies in their Clone Wars thingy, where Obi-Wan battles General Grevious several times, and it's exactly the same intro where Grevious spins his four hands' lightsabers to the ground as he walks slowly towards Obi-Wan. It's exactly the same.

So I'm thankful that Disney bought it instead of Cartoon Network.

If you are here for doing random event stuff, I'd recommend a free roam server. We're not that anymore. We're a roleplay server.

7th Episode not from LucasArts - smells fishy.

Cartoon Network only shows the episodes
There's some studio still making the series and a bloody almost MMO like game of it [refer to Clone Wars Adventures]

I'm not sure about a sequel for Star Wars, I would like the Vong Wars though and the New Republic times. That would be nice. Some Kyle Katarn action p1()x.

The Vong wars would be interesting, but I wonder how would Vongs look like, if made by Disney :P

Exactly.

Lucas said in an interview years ago that he had planned to base future films on the restoration of the republic. However, I'd love to see a film about events that occured in the KotOR games, for example - The Mandalorian Wars, The Jedi Civil War, The Sith Empire and so on.

That would be nice. Going back to those times where the plot is actually so set by Bioware and their games would be nice. Games don't interest me cause of my PC. So some movies would be nice.

There's a lot more to Disney than what we might see on TV these days... the Disney Channel maybe isn't the best to carry its past and future image, but that's for a completely different audience, for instance.

And for that matter, Disney's not all Snow White or Hannah Montana or whatever.

Disney has the potential to make something really great with Star Wars. They have a massive resource base, and it wouldn't be unlikely for them to extend collaborations with all sorts of people and other companies to come up with something that everyone would enjoy.

Relate the stuff above might have possible 1-2 episodes within the 2015 plot zone.

OK So thoes bitching @ episode 7 and what it might be about, Just look @ the offical cannon timeline on wookiepedia and then you can go from there, Alot and I mean ALOT of shit goes down after EP6, Hell technically 1-2 months after the Battle of Endor you get the Ssssruk uprising that could easily be an episode 7. Also you have the entire Thraw serers that was well written by Timothy Zann and hell just what Thrawn does makes him a very good villan like a good bond villian only not cliche. So all you guys saying "vong" well there is alot and I mean alot Lucas could have gone for. ALSO FYI Lucas spent alot of time making Redtails, infact its because of that movie there is no EP 7 but the overall price just to buyout lucas films, I will say Lucas will die a very wealthy man, the real question is will fans respect him or hate him now.

OH and not everything Disney owns is 100% tainted by the failure of the TV Disney or Disney Music. Besides the Pirates of the Caribbean Franchise Pixar was bought by them and they still make great animated movies, also Disney partnered with Hayao Miyazaki you know his works magna/movies like "Spirited Away" and "Princess Mononoke" so if Disney plays ball with the fans then Disney could reap the rewards.

HOWEVER IF Disney buys out Hasbro then my god I'm changing faiths to Islam because Jesus would have failed me!

Some people have critised Disney for this but if you look at what they've done with Pixar you can see that they will take care of the franchise. It would be good to see a new Indiana Jones film and this is a greater possibility with this deal.

One of the exciting prospects for veteran Spielberg poducer Kathleen Kennedy as the new president at Disney-owned Lucasfilm is that she is more than capable of developing a strong script and luring gifted filmmakers to the planned "Star Wars" franchise reboot. Even without a script on hand, directors are lining up.   Director Matthew Vaughn ("Kick Ass," "Layer Cake" and "X-Men: First Class") is rumored to be in talks to direct the newly announced "Star Wars: Episode VII," having recently dropped out of the next "X-Men" installment (old hand Bryan Singer is taking the reins). The news of "Episode VII" came last week during Disney's announcement of the major purchase of Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion.
Meanwhile, Harrison Ford says he is open to the idea of playing Han Solo again in "Episode VII," which reportedly takes up decades after 1983's "Episode VI" left off. Presumably the older trio would hand off the story to a younger generation, a tried-and-true approach to rebooting a franchise, much as a senior Spock (Leonard Nimoy) did in J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek."
EW reports that not only Ford, but "all three"--including Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia--are interested in being involved with the upcoming Star Wars film. EW speculates that if Ford were to draw up a new contract, it would involve a mandatory death scene for Solo. The character was originally meant to die in "Return of the Jedi," but according to Ford, his bankability as an action figure kept Solo alive.

I don't think that is going to happen.

Harrison Ford still looks pretty much the same

and as for Luke Skywalker, aka Mark Hamill

Not sure, it really depends on what Lucas Films is planning to do for the next installment, the time period and the story line I suppose. Still can't wait for even a trail or some sort of sneak peak idea :)

More uneducated jokes still arise it seems.

Lucas Films is still Lucas Films, it'll have the same staff, same writers, same editors, same pretty much everything other than George Lucas stepping down from the day-to-day operations lead and is a child company now of the Walt Disney Company which is joinging this list:

Walt Disney Pictures
Walt Disney Animation Studios
Walt Disney Theatrical
Walt Disney India Ltd.
Pixar Animation Studios
Marvel Entertainment, LLC
The Muppets Studio
ABC Inc.
ESPN Inc. (80%)
A+E Networks (50%)

Radio Disney
Hulu (27%)
UTV Software Communications

Also do note, Pixar Animation Studios was founded by LUCAS FILMS before Disney Purchased Pixar from George Lucas.
