Many other server in VCMP has added that "tagban" on TBS members, but that doesn't do shit against them due to them changing subnets like socks.
Clanban's don't work that way lol; since obviously the server doesn't know the IP address of every member of a clan. It works in the way that it automatically bans anyone who enters the server with "[tbs]" or whatever their clantag is in their name. Basically a lot like the current script we have that autokicks players with "f**k" in their name.

Exactly what I mean, but I also meant they can just simply change their subnet, change their name and enter the server again.

It still prevents them from leaving their mark on our server and forces them to hide behind alias's.

True, it would be for the best to have the ban-on-name for every TBS. / [TBS] / (TBS) :D

So all you guys are saying is that there is no one that could stop this and once it happens, it always happens?

the host can solve the problem w/ a good firewall.

some firewalls can  modify packet pressure to avoid crashing a server. ( I know a host which has <3 )

Well maybe you could share such information so that we can also avoid such crashes.

Exactly what I mean. If you can at least stop them from entering under one method, then you are only left with another to fight off, rather than both. It limits their options and makes it harder to evade. :)

Something really usefull as we pretty much know alot of their subnets you can just ban those and sooner or later they will run out of them.

Agreed. In fact, if this is such an issue where they are crashing the servers, I'd say they are eligible for a Community Ban. If you want to Klaus, we could gather up the known information in the Management boards and organize it so it's easier to block the dummies. :)

If VC:MP devs would care it would solve it for all.

Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

Unfortunately all of the Developers for VC:MP have disappeared minus Maxorator, and he doesn't have the released source to 0.3zr2. He has a few outdated ones, but those are even worse, and are completely useless to solving the issues at hand, hence why he is rewriting 0.4 from scratch.

I wish somebody could help him out or atleast make a new dev team to speed it up.
