Announcement for Russian speakers

What makes me afraid is that there are a high amount russian players and they might flow Argonath, but as far as I know, Argonath is an international server. This means if you put this russian server into consideration, you'll need to manage TWO communities. This means Argonath x2. And before we know it, the main server becomes the russian one instead of the international one...

Exactly. I just counted how many players are online on that popular Russian server : 4319 players.
I don't see how the International server will stay the main one, if the Russian server is going to be filled with hundreds and hundreds of players..

russians have their own way of doing things, and since they'll all be on the same page it is likely that server will be managed better than this one.

Maybe Russians do not flame eachother, complain about every single thing, abuse every scripts there is and maybe they do respect admins. So yeah, I think it's a good idea and I wish I could speak Russian. I think it's aswell an increasing 'funfactor' for both Gandalf and Aragorn - as they can speak their own language.

It wouldn't be two communities. It would just be two identical servers in different languages, hence the separate group RON made. If they want to use the forums, they still have to follow it's rules.

Which I disagree with, we probably will get outnumbered by Russians but it won't change much, they'll stick to themselves mostly

It wouldn't be two communities. It would just be two identical servers in different languages, hence the separate group RON made. If they want to use the forums, they still have to follow it's rules.

Who spoke about forum ? No one...
There will be just an Argonath server for Russian and as they are way more than us, their server will have 500+ players everyday, while the international one is barely at 100... So the russian server may become the main one later..

Meh, they still have to speak English on the international servers/forums, so it doesn't make a difference..

But they'll still overrun us since their server is going to be filled 24/7 with hundreds and hundreds of players (if it follows the popular SAMP russian server path).

How is that going to overrun us? They are part of the same community. They wouldn't affect the other servers negatively in any way. If anything, that brings attention to the community overall.

From my experience, russians doesn't really have much experience with the English language. In other words, they would need a forum for their own in order to communicate with other russian speakers. For example, another server with russian speakers would need their own "News and Announcement" "VC:MP/IV:MP/SA:MP General" and etc. in order to do the same as the international server does. How else would the russian speakers, who doesn't speak English, communicate with each other, like giving suggestions and etc.?

I agree with you in the attention part, but we must not forget that we're an international community. I really don't like this idea. It'll separate us, and I remember someone said that we'll always remain one community. I can't see that us being one community if this idea is taken into action.

Learning Russian to play a virtual game for western nation's people is on the edge of impossible. Or, you'll need few years to achieve the basic level of killer_olari's english.

Russian is harder then English for Serbians, and we use the similar Cyrillic alphabet, those two languages  got many similarities, and they're from the same origin, but yes its still harder for us to learn it then English.
