Look, to recap what was happening here before you stormed in:

Emre pointed out the fact that Argonath is running at a loss as it is already, which makes expanding to multiple servers per game to account for multiple languages a counter intuitive decision.

An argument was made that expanding to another language could bring in new people (previously restricted by lack of knowledge of English) who could donate, negating the additional loss of the expansion.

And then you storm in saying that we're all a big community (which, for the record, I have no reason to believe was being questioned).

I mean, what? How is this even relevant to what was being discussed before? Why do you do this?

We need to put aside the egos of both the leadership/management/players too because ultimately we have one objective, which is to ensure the prosperity of our community.

1. Argonath doesn't take losses from hosting free server software. It takes losses from hosting the systems which host the game servers. If they do not need additional hardware to host the game servers, there is no additional loss.
2. They easily could, yes.
3. Many people are saying that it would split the community. Others are saying that it would be a separate community from Argo sharing the same name. Neither of these would be true.

Argonath takes losses from additional servers necessary to keep up with strain on the current servers. Look, I'm not arguing for or against this, I'm just dazzled by why you would bring up us being a community when finances are discussed, yes, there were discussions about community splitting (though, more accurately, what would happen is people splitting away from current servers to migrate to the more language appropriate ones, which is the actual concern. My personal belief is that a multi language system within one server would be more appealing, but it would still cause issues when trying to communicate.), but not at that point or in that discussion.

And that is a problem... how? You can't live with the fact knowing there is bigger 'section' of Argonath than the one you play in?

Servers in Argo don't become independent from the community. They are still part of it, and share much more than just a name.
Read what I said carefully.

1.   Argonath was, is, and will always be a community that should be friendly to new people. We will continue to be  a breeding ground for new people to discover the fun of playing by imagination. This is what has brought us official status and creates a regular flow of new players in to our server, keeping the community alive and feeding it.

Get over it people.

Here is a bar mod for SMF. It gives the advantage for people to chat but most it has a list with different languages that with teamworking with Google Translate it translates the whole page automatically to the language clicked. You don't have to do it all the time as if you do it one time when you move to different pages in forum it will be translated automatically.

Hm, so I had kind of ignored a couple of previous pages, anyway, just skimmed through it..

Seems people are having an issue with recent posts tab. It's a good idea to make use of Ignore Boards option on your profile, and not only because of foreign languages, it's always nice to be able to choose what content you see.

Also, about the splitting of community - I'm pretty that would be already done by splitting it to multiple languages. It's simply not possible to communicate with people who do not understand you, or who you don't understand, at least not over internet. Sure, we would stay being a community as far as having common interests go, but we would have no way of sharing this with each other, we would be as much a community sharing the like of roleplay and everything Argonath stands for as any two people sharing the like of breathing. We would enjoy it, but we wouldn't be enjoying it together, as a community.

We need to put aside the egos of both the leadership/management/players too because ultimately we have one objective, which is to ensure the prosperity of our community.

They already have a group...

The issue...
Not at all. Just we should think about if it needs to be set on a subdomain and separated or not. The board list is already long enough as it is, and seeing a lot of strange language posts in the unread topics might also be an issue.

The solution...
Make a different forum/site for russians please.

Russians need russian when visiting site/forum, not english.
And the other way around.

take a lesson from the gaming industry and seperate languages to avoid rage and drama.

I aint santa... Ive got something for the bad bitches too.
