Actually it doesn't. I PM'ed a forum Administrator stating that I didn't realize back when I signed up years ago that SMF didn't allow namechanges like PHPBB. They made the decision to remove the clan tag from my display name, not the login one. As said, if you have an issue with your name that is that bothersome to you, PM a forum Administrator. There is nothing hypocritical about that.

There is no legitimate need to change it. If you have a circumstance that you feel needs it changed that badly, and you feel it actually is legitimate, PM a forum Administrator explaining why.

Well some people have had a change of nickname that rendered their forum name unrecognizable, such as myself. No-one knew that MdeRooy had become DHR.Marcel and as such could not link my forum posts to in-game and vice versa.

I'm not saying that anyone should be able to change their name at any time, but like once per 6 months should be fine.

Then don't change your IG nickname? Your name is not a roleplay name. Pick one and stick with it.

We are not a strict RP community. We don't recognize usernames as being roleplay names. It seems some here have yet to realize this...

1. If you didn't receive a reply, then it's possible that it was denied. Make sure you give a valid explanation and be patient.
2. That is not the fault of this community that some users don't understand our heritage.
