i just dont understand why some1 needs to ruin games to the ones who just wanna play it. its not gandalf's fault or anyone's from server administration, only the guys who is doing this. if u are reading this, good luck for u in life. i bet u must be realy sad

don't say it's because of DDOS attacks, because you are not more attacked then any other server on SA:MP... If you say it's because of DDOS, you're ignorant.

It HAS NOT been any change of the denial of gameplay since I joined Argonath, it was f**king 500 years ago, I getting pissed on this now, you cannot even handle a f**king
server, you should not be a owner if you cannot handle your own traffic.... -.-

Do you pay any cent to play on Argonath? I think not. Be happy that Argonath excists in the first place and that there is a server owner willing to create a community like this.

The funny thing is, that in order to defeat any DDoS attack, you will need bandwidth, loads of it. Imagine the total bandwidth of the ENTIRE internet, plus 1: that's what you need to defeat any attack!:)

The also can create any DDoS protect team like 20-30 mans that will have access to the hold system they will check every think every second and they will have any big chance to block it up

It would be fine if it happens sometimes, but this is continuous. Other communities are doing fortunes of money with things like donations, ranks on forum, in-game phone numbers, the opportunity to change your forum name and stuff, while we are sleeping.

Yes I know other communities make a lot of money by selling worthless things. And sometimes we are thinking of giving some options. However our base idea remains the same. Every player must be able to obtain eerything without paying, and we do not allow to pay RL money for in-game value.

One thing on that ... if you see it from one side infact ARgonath is the same with the others . In Argonath you donate wihtout any excange . and in the other server you donate with totally worthless exchange ... So both way you get nothing ... So to eveyrone who would donate to get 100k IG ... simply donate to help the community , I my self would never donate and thats because I do not tend to spent money on games ...

I dont know alot of DDOS attack and such, But isnt it possible to switch the server to a different ip?
Or does a DDOS have nothing related to the server ip?

They can switch it but what is the point they will find the new IP and ddos it again

  If I am not wrong, this DDoS attack comes from some player that was banned and denied forever. It is like a revenge. The thing I can't understand is why, having admins from nearly every country with a Argo community, we can't get legal ways to stop it. If that DDoSer is living in a european country, it is not hard to localise him (with logs), or at least his ISP and get some measures against it.

  Actually, even Russia has his cyber-police. I had about 5 years ago problems with my CS server, which was DDoSed. We found the source of that threat, we localised the ISP and with help of that ISP we started blocking that guy with our cyberpolice. And - he got his problems, as even nowadays noany cable ISP is ready to bring him service. He still using the cellular 3G, which is slow in his city.

  For all those smartasses, who think they can localize any attack and make the server run until the new Ice Age. If you're so smart, why don't you work in Google? As I'm a bit related with servers and scripting, I can say that Argo script is well done, even having it's bus and errors, and the server are quite good. Even they can't support a big DDoS attack - but many other bigger servers can't survive it. So, if you are so fucking smart - give your ideas, not your moaning.

  And as for me - I am sad that I can't play tonight, so I'm going to NFS World..

Those in other communities may not be getting anything of physical value, but they are gaining an advantage over others through those methods. Argonath's Vision has never, and will never, allow such. Some may see it as a good idea to help the community, but as long as it violates the community's founding, it won't be put into place.

Though, if you would only send the ip in pm to users who are older then 2 weeks and dont have any recent big punishments or who are still banned, I think it should work.
But as i said im not a expert
