This idea has it goods as it has it bads.

The vote should not be started by high ranked cops only, since it is not a cops related matter. Instead, COL, SFDS should be as well able to do it.

I actually don't support this idea because of the treating that new players will receive.. but if it is really needed, then why not.

Do consider that people can gang up to kick somebody for fun. Imo nobody except administration should be allowed to kick rule breakers. Wanna solve it? Hire people who are willing to play in different time zones and that really care about server integrity and image. Giving this command in the hands of regulars or "trusted" people (who can always turn up to be jerks or people going against the server) is not a good idea and never will be in a roleplay server. I do realize that most of people have no idea that this is a roleplay server when they first join so that's why you should't kick them but try to stop them and report meanwhile (skype, forums, whatever you have to use, do it). Being a helper on a different server where most of newcomers are hackers i'd say it would be a useful command, but here...the max they can do is car-kill you. Rule breakers get bored if they're ignored, they either quit or stop rule breaking for some time, that's why kicking them is reserved to administrations. They know if they should kick, ajail or warn them, they're trained for this and i know you heard this lot of times but it's the damn truth.

Unless you want to introduce a new rank with lower power than moderators and you are willing to train these guys on how to react on rule breakers i would not suggest this idea to be implemented.

This is a roleplay server and not some team up and kick game. If new player will start getting kicked every 5 mins for the mistakes they do, they will just stop playing the game, or worse may get offended and start doing some nasty shit.

Again as it said not every player can handle the /votekick command only /col members&DT

Idea sounds pretty neat. Last time there are a lot of rulebreakers and no admins online, People saying it could be abused, It can be definitely abused, but if actions are taken towards such people, no one will ever plan to "team up" and kick someone intentionally. Logs can be checked incase someone is spamming "/votekick that guy etc etc" and he could get punished for his actions and after that no one will repeat same thing. If strong qualification is set on who can use command, it won't be abused. As for players voting (/votekick yes), There should be limitations aswell, player should have passport and license obviously and maybe gameplay of several months behind his account. Also player should only be kicked only when 90+% of server agrees on it, after he has repeatedly DMed,CarKilled.. etc and everyone has seen those actions. Obviouly there can be more tweaks to make it complex and anti-abusable, But it definitely comes handy when staff is not on, which happens more often now.

And i think this is a good idea you can use /report for the player and he gets auto kicked by sauron if the player got more then 5 report gets kicked by sauron and if there is teaming with other players and reporting that guy they would get punished by admins checking that chat logs.

It can be abused,so im not supporting this,people will try to kick players when they lose their temper with this even it is new players,i prefer leave it to admins

If it limits amount of people to be kicked, or limits a person to be kicked just every XX minutes only  , only then i support. Some people might abuse this votekick everytime someone logs in.
For example you got a hate on someone , and u tell your mates to kick the dude out , and you keep spamming the votekick everytime the dude logs in over and over again.

If this was implemented very carefully , then only then i could support.

As many said, this can be abused very easly, and Administrators don`t have the time to check the logs always to see who abused it.
They aren`t babysitters. And granting COL or LCPD the ability to use this command is a better idea but still... NO.
This part of ArgonathRPG can better be left for Administrators to handle it. And yes, mostly they have their own life too, so they can`t be online forever.
If you really want to help in this part and you think that you can solve this issue that is here going on, you`ll be better out going to apply for Moderator here.
