Thsi whole thing is about stress and how it builds and build and build. He's stressed IRL and people on Argonath adding to his "pile" isn't helping much.

It's better to talk to him and find out the problems and find wasy to solve them than shouting about it ingame IMHO.

Grz is right, fixing the ingame side of things with players will work if you guys TRY.

Taking the server off the official list won't help. Reverting to old scripts won't help. Only technical thing that can be changed is to remove scripts that divide players into groups (eg. ARPD from freecops - should reduce whining as experienced cops will try to keep the reputation high, while moaners won't be able to just throw around with unexperienced cops when they won't recognize them).

What can help is when the old players will show that they can play with new guys, teach the new guys what's roleplay. And don't start some extra super roleplay situations only between veterans - engage new players into it. Maybe if Aragorn will see that the PEOPLE changed, he will return.

But making 1000 replies to topics like this won't help much. Sure that it shows support, but it's better to prove it ingame.

I am with Grze, Show New players, How to Roleplay, Don't just abuse them, He is right, We regulars, Just make our own group of regulars, And roleplay, We neglect new players, Instead, We should help them!

I will state one way to aid in preventing these moaners and "corrupt" players.  Taking Argonath RPG off of the official listing is one way of stopping the problem(s) we're facing.  Trust me, being on that official list is not really something to be proud of.  Don't think that because we're on the official list means we're all that.

Yes, we're all that, however, that official list can certainly corrupt a server within a day.  We can still gain new players by not being on it.

The way it corrupts a server is because a server becomes over-exposed to people.  Therefore, we end up getting players that only want to DeathMatch and such.  We also get the moaners as mentioned.  It's as simple as that.

If the lead administrators are not in favour of removing Argonath RPG from the official listing, then fine by me, but don't say I didn't alert you of the dangers.

When we ask which server has the moaners - SAMP. In VCMP, there sometimes is of course one to two moan against admins in one day.. Requlars helps new player who comes to the server.. There is no ARPD screwing things up (no offense).. People don't moan about DMer, they kill him and then escape from cops, no matter if he is new or reqular. If cop suspects you for speeding in VCMP, player don't start to moan about it, he advises WHAT he did wRONg and HOW and what he should've done in that case..
When we compare VCMP to SAMP, first we see is that SAMP has more players online at night time than VCMP at the most populated point of the day.. SAMP has so many requlars that they don't care about new players, because they think: "Who cares about a newB who can't RP, let him gtfo and 80 requlars will be left.."
(Don't take this as offense SAMP players, but this is the way how it is)


Simple solution: HELP newbies... That way moaning will decrease more than 50%... Because most of the moans comes against new freecops, new player who don't know rules..

Yep, Kessu is so right about that thing, I started playing VCMP too, and the first thing I noticed, that nobody isnt moaning there, its just like....unbelieveable if we look into SAMP.

When we get back respect for eachother, then we can change the way we are going.
Everyone need to do it individual, but WITH eachother..

Respect is the main rule of Argonath RPG.
You should be forced to follow this, and if you can't... you should be forced to leave the server for a bit...

It's a goal for players to change theirselves (and I mean admins too!!) and administration team should just show no mercy to people who cannot respect.
And personally I also think, we get rid of that image like:

"Ah he is admin blabla" - Admins are players too, just players who got the job to enforce the server rules on other people who cannot follow them.
Outside their job, admins have the same rules, and are still players, just like YOU.

in first screen when u get connected to servers, u see RULES!!  :rules:
right?

but newBes dont care...and thats the problem!
