If the Gvardias pulled over and asked to be excused from RP, I don't see a problem there. Argonath's state laws turn around *drum roll*.... citizens/civilians. So why forcing a traffic conduct if they don't want to RP, but officers just do it like this:

The definition of RP is to divide out of character and in character. Those are the core ideas.
While RPing skill, recognizing the situation, responding to other RP stories, is categorized in "How they want to RP"

Well, I have a different perspective then, as every RPer I encountered used OOC and IC while communicating with me.
That's what I appreciate, a good situation, and a good reaction.

RLRP/ARgonath/RL, doesn't matter. Go try finding a someone who does not appreciate a good RP scene. With quality environment and story.
Seems like the problem is with you, because you refuse those definition while they are the core terms of RP. They can be denied but some of us still use it, and the lesson/point to you and Dave was not to make fun of Gvardias using it.

Happening 2: Unless the cops had no valid reason to pull you over or stop you (and seeing a car full of Gvardia is NOT a valid reason) there is no reason not to RP with them. The general style of Gvardia of trying to be badasses whenever they meet a cop invites cops to treat them with strict and hard answers. That is not the fault of the cops.

The general style of Gvardia, is to get them off our asses in a as much as possible normal and polite way, in order to continue what we were doing. Exceptional members, mostly new ones, can't be consider into it.

And none of this is the fault of the cops, but the system that allows corruption and constant harassing without getting punished. While my boys gets instant ban without a warning/kick or tempban for it, worst thing that can happen to a corrupted cop for same reasons is cop ban, and that mostly goes down the toilet, when some of the ARPD leadership sees the reports coming from Gvardia.

Perhaps we should create a RP scenario where Gvardia and cops will be forced to work together against a common enemy. Standing side by side might improve relations.

Also @ Aksel, GIac and Dave, You don't see us mocking your ROFLCOPTER way of role play, so please refrain of mocking our ones.

Yesterday I was doing some RP at GS9, when I was faced with some Mexicans
After exchanging some puta's and cabron's, they went on the offensive.
One of them did /me puts a gun to GiacJr's head...
then did /em S/F
I did /me attempts to back away, running into the guy behind him
The mexican then did /em S/F!?!?!?
I repeated /me attempts to back away, running into the guy behind him
I then got something werid FFS DID I SUCCEED OR NOT????

I laughed and walked off.

As we progress in time it seems that we get more and more layers who learned the wring habits on other servers. Some find our rules too open as they are used to stricter ones, and take it as excuse to either break the rules or impose theirs on others. There for a small guide to RP, the Argonath way.

1. RP does not need to be scritped.
Many ideas to create jobs, scripts, ranks and other things are requested as people seem to have no idea on what to do. For those people, the origin of RP is without any script support. In the early days of GTA roleplay, any RP was based on what was typed on screen. People bought houses you could not enter, businesses that were closed, or hotels without rooms.
And people paid each other money without getting anything in their inventory, they paid because they made RP of buying something.
It it so hard to use your imagination and do something virtual ?

Bad example:

* Gandalf sells grey brooms

Player: how can you sell brooms, they do nothing

Good example:

* Gandalf sells white brooms

Player buys  a broom.
After 5 minutes pPlayer comes back and tell the broom did not work.



2. Public chat is communication
In the earlier days, all RP of 26 people went through a public chat of 8 lines. Nowadays, with all local, cb, pm and other chat people complain about not being able to read even when they can use 20 lines of chat.
The public chat gives opportunity to greet your friends, help new players and create a friendly atmosphere. Although often it seems to be used for whining, complaining and flaming. If it will be removed, it will be because of the whining, not because of it beung useless.

3. Use imagination instead of force.
It seems extremely hard to use the brains for a number of people. Not only do they feel the need to make a difference between 'In Character' and 'Out of Character' by using funny brackets, lately they also feel the need to force others in to actions.
The latest is using /me for an action and then askig yes/no or succeed/fail.
This takes imagination out of roleplay, and causes forced scenarios.
Instead of asking for a result, let the player think of one.

Bad example:
Player pushes Gandalf  succeed/fail

Good example:
Player pusghes Gandalf
Gandalf looks confused.

Then you should go play a game that includes statistics. You're fault, you refuse it.
I recommend you to actually start RPing. Not insulting Gvardia style of RP. As Lyrical said: Respect, its not up to anyone to judge.

You cannot evade it the IC RP, as you can see, you need to learn that Argonath does not set standards of RP. People who adopted RP in gaming actually created is and evolved. Argonath just passes it on its player, in their own way.
