Me too. I respect Aragorn a lot for his blunt opinionative manner. It just proves he's not afraid to speak his mind.

My history is that I have been denying Gvardia the gates for a long time.
Not because I am against Gvardia or them having a gate. But because if we give Gvardia a custom object, either we will have to give it to all groups who ask, or to have a good reason who is and who is not allowed to get one. When starting as community leader Frank Hawk did not take this in to account.
It was not his fault as he was not used to the habit of people that if they are denied by one person, they go to the next person and try to get what they want there.
The reason Gvardia kept the gates was that we did not want to embarass Frank on one of his first actions, and because of the A.R.U.N. concept that would allow a restriction in the number of groups that would be given something. However if there would have been consultation before placing the object, Gvardia would not have gotten the gate at all.
I fully understand, thanks for making that clear.
And thanks for not removing them ;)

I take responsibility for taking the decision to implement the Gvardia gates in the form of good faith. I was not aware of the process of approval at the time in addition to the external impact it may have caused to other groups (overall message it was projecting). This was highlighted and discussed in the admin section where the decision was to make this an exceptional case and that any subsequent changes would not be implemented without the consent of the owners. Whilst bearing this in mind, the gates have been used well (by all parties) as far as I can tell and set the ball rolling on introducing scriptable objects under the ARUN concept.  :)

Surprisingly, the other groups didn't necessarily go on a huge revolt as one might think they would. Respect towards them for not TOTALLY flipping out (though there were some complaints).

Yep, they actually have had more use than just decoration.
While anyone can open them (which I'm PERFECTLY fine with, by the way), some players decided to be great sports and actually roleplay the gate being locked, making for a rather...'different' roleplay. I believe I remember Seskom attaching a tow truck hook to the gate and speeding off a bit to "bend it and get through". Hard to believe that all he wanted was a gun deal

The most surprising use for the gates is that they are DMer proof

wooow, that is some history alright...
I remember in 2007, I was in a few grops/clans...
First was a Parkour clan made by Jellies, man that was fun..We just went around jumping onto really strange places and I still got memory of some of the places I jumped onto..
Second was =NS=, [NS]...I joined New Skills on MTAVC server when I was active in MTA:VC mid-2007, then they transferred to SAMP and I did join them for a little while, but Watti was really harsh on what we could do so I left NS...
Then was the era of _Dragons, with Tony...I know, Aragorn, you most likely don't wanna bring up Tony, as he is a total asshole, but he really brought the whole mafia RP into Argonath...I remember the meetings Dragons had, I remember the friendships I got from Dragons and I remember the good times I had being a criminal with Dragons...Shock to some of you! Giac was a criminal! hehe...
In early 2008 I made my own clan, along with Shifter..Maybe some of you will remember - GoA - Guns of Agility. I dunno why we chose that name..But this was one of the most successful clans to ever come to Argonath..We had about 50 members by the end of the first month, and about 20 of those were admins - xcasio, r4zor, shifter, me etc...Then we made the bad decision to join with Tony with Dragons and become DoA - Dragons of Agility..Within 2 weeks Tony had convinced most of the clan to leave to Dragons, so I shut it down...D/GoA was a very professional clan with very good RPers in it...We took it upon ourselves to teach new players and accept new players in, and teach them the proper way to RP...In doing this, we made some very good friends and we were very popular with a lot of newer players...

Sometimes it's good for groups to know a bit of history about other groups, to get an insight into the times in which Argonath had a smaller community, times when things were simpler, times when Aragorn and Gandalf knew everything that was going on and was heavily involved in all RPs, leading the community in the right direction, having meetings with group leaders to ensure they were doing good...

Oh I also just remembered from 2007, the alliance of groups..I forget what it was called, but it shut down very soon after I joined..I remember my good friend =AV=Kerr was one of the leaders of it, and he was always asking me to come in wars against other people outside of the alliance

The Era of Dragons is too loud name... And I think your opinion comes from not knowing all things around groups that time...

Corleone and Montana were the leaders of criminal groups roleplay... They were the first, before Tony even appeared... Tone was weak... I am telling it not because my bad attitude to him... But because I had to protect Dragons every time like a babysitter...

From this three groups that was Tony who was always contacting me on MSN and requesting any types of help... This is exactly the reason I was pissed off when he started shitting me and calling others asslickers, being an asslicker himself in his way of meaning (asked Aragorn to help? Asslicker, said appreciation to the Argonath? asslicker, is Aragorn's friend? Asslicker)... So all I could provide after he started a shit - an opinion about unthankful bastard...

So I cannot call the Dragons activity as an Era of Dragons...

Montana, Corleone, Stracci - those were the strongest groups... As in discipline positions so in roleplay activity...

As about not mentioning the Dragons - hard to believe for you, maybe, but I even forgot there was such a group... Apparently they were not lasted long...

You found paradise in Argonath. You had a good game, you made good friends. The admins protected you and there were courts of law. So you didn't need a friend like me. Now you come and say "Aragorn, give me justice." But you don't ask with respect.

I certainly agree about Montana, Corleone and Stracci being the groups of the time - but I do think Dragons provided a lot of opportunities for a lot of people. I do know a lot about Tony and Rodriguez, about their past, about how they always used to come to you, always had their bad attitudes - but collectively, I do think Dragons did a bit for Argonath, and we I don't think we can deny it.

They weren't around for an overly long amount of time...5,6,7 months... - maybe they are in my head more because I was part of it and I got to experience it, I dunno, but they were a part of the time..

We do not deny they give some opportunity to people, but not to be the Era...  :)
There were many groups who started and ended like Dragons...

I did not mention them all... But I named "Era" of Montana or Corleone because they were (and are) grands... Dragons I cannot name "grands"... Most of what I remember from game play - Tony_Dragons lonely cruise... Plus 2-3 more members randomly connecting to server...

5-6 months - nothing in compare with the "grands" of criminal roleplay gangs...

I'd like to say, nice bit of history on post 1+2.

As some of you know, I was in =AV= for some time. I was made friendly by Nexxt when I was new, then he told me to apply for AV, so I did, I got accepted, but  then... we stopped any interaction, this annoyed me, it was almost like everyone gets into the clan, it seemed and still does (sorry for offence) like a status symbol / selfish clan, some aspects at-least. (I do not know entirely as I do not interact with much of AV - the members usually do not stand out as if they're representing a clan)
At the time, there was a lot of AV squabbling, arguing, flaming and general disrespect to each other, it wasn't like a clan I've been in, so I left, not sure if it still exists now, I heard it closed - many of the ex?managers do not use the AV tag...

I think CoastGuard should be scripted, not because I have the "Argonath RPG Armed Forces CoastGuard" group, but I think it'd give others a rp opportunity, and the ARAFCG can use it also :).
Also same with the staircase upto the carrier in Sf navy base - the base is used by none CG members too.

As for the NinjaPie Clan, as the founder and leader since 2006, I can say; coming to Argonath saved the Clan. Our dear Clan is friendly clan, we are friends with each other members and do the best to support each other, this is why we are invite only - I do not want our clan becoming , well I do not want to insult / start an argument but... Like the AV i knew / the server where NinjaPie started from.

Once again, sorry if you feel offended, it's the honest truth... I do not know what has changed now.

I created the Bureau of Citizens Advice for helping new players, regulars. Making some adverts annoyed people, I was like "What?", so I gradually slowed down doing them. I made an ad like /ad [BCA]You should use a police car if you are a cop, then an admin warned me, and I explained I didn't meant o abuse /ad , then got banned.  Then I spoke to Gandalf and he said it was against Argonath Vision to advise people, and this got me confused. I was doing this for over a year, why didn't no1 tell me :P.
So ya, I am banned on SA:MP.

When I joined Argonath MTA:SA, I was flamed, harassed and disrespected in under 1 hour of joining.
All i said was "Hi, I play on Argonath SA:MP , can anyone help"? And I got like the worst uneducated flames.  , ofcourse I reported this to the MTA:SA admins on the forums - you might see the thread there now, owners / managers did take notice and said if admins do not shape up they will not haste to make a admin shuffle.

I joined VC:MP , the people there was so nice! They where the people I would rather be with, but due to Citizenship and Migrations Board on SA:MP, at the time I was a Higher admin there and I did not want to seem unloyal - now I'm the first none admin Director :P, I actually gave up FBI for CMB. If I could I'd request to rejoin FBI. But I got bored on sa:Mp  and found XU (gimli, nexxt) etc rp of cop funny, so did that, then got carried away :B - that's before when my Red County Farm was spoiled due to the /ad prices going up, I used to have JCDstods as my prized customer, even others joined in for non scripted food!

Now I'm mooching off of SASFBF in hopes to revive my farm - hopefully I'll get unbanned and continue with this plan - (I will need to hire some slaves for $50k per head first ofcourse to get access to them moneys )

Right now, me and other people share the views of a United Argonath - at-least where defence groups are concerned - police, army (not referring to the group by safetymoose) - in the form of Department of Defence, but as you know Aragorn- you do not support it :(. It has the backing + interest of FBI, Argonath RPg Armed Forces, United Argonath Peace keeping forces, Supreme court etc, The group is RPish, and needs a forum but i cant provide that atm due to the lack of my skills in changing a host for the Department of Defence Forums - hopefully ben_hells will send me the tutorial in 3 days or under so i can get it fixed. National Security council - Cityhall forum - go see.
Hopefully if as iMunna promised over msn - he will look to help this project develop, no disrespect to you Aragorn, Gandalf, but without your express support (GIVE US A FORUM ^.^) , it'd be extremely hard to get this project developed, it's kind of the RP side of ARUN but without the crime families and clans :) - aims to allow groups to work well and use military codes / rules / even make our own custom court for military court martial  etc >: ) .

Get your facts straight before you start throwing out shit, will you? Glorifying your own clan by talking shit about one of the longest living / the first official clan in the community will not work.

All PMs saying "Look at my unban request!!11" will be ignored.

In need of assistance? Please send me a forum PM instead of contacting me ingame. Whenever i am ingame, i'm most likely busy with something else which means i wont be able to help you there and then.

Curse, Stop bullshitting our clan.

I think your somewhat jealous that we're successful, You can't go saying shit about other clans when your own needs improvement...Lets look at you, Their Leader, You've been banned twice in the past few months, You kicked loads of your member in 09 because they disagreed with you (Aywar, Gibson, Newton), I stood by your side for ages and just watched you f**k my friends around. Then, Almost half a year later I decide to forgive you and do soem work for you, You treated me like shit, You didn't listen, Then made me take the blame.

So, Just watch what you go saying in the future, Sir.
