Clarification on what Revenge Killing actually is.

As people(especially groups) seems to be very confused about what Revenge Killing exactly is, then let me help you solve that problem. As you probably know; revenge killing has two meanings. The first one is when you get killed by someone, you respawn and rearm to go after the player who killed you. Example;

Player A kills Player B. Player B respawns, rearms and drives his car back to Player A to seek revenge.

- The second meaning is when you're in let's say a gang-war with another group. You are 5-10 peoples on each team and you get killed by one of them, before the shootout ends, you rearm and return to the shootout to assist your friends again. Revenge Killing is NOT when you kill someone, and they return a couple of hours later with a different reason to harm, kidnap or torture you. Example;

You're in Group A and you've been messing with Group B, and now Group B has came to kill you for your actions against them. You get into shootout with them and die. 20-30 minutes later, you've called a regroup and you want to take a chat with that Group B, so you find one of them and kidnap them and torture them for something they've done to you, or simply just to obtain information. This is not considered as revenge killing/returning after death. This is a completely different roleplay scenario and it's not relevant to the shootout Group A had with Group B.

Revenge killing is any attack on another player that is done for other motive as roleplay.

Did you get killed and want to show that you can kill that player too? Revenge killing.
Did someone brag in chat about killing your family members and you decide to go to them with a group? Revenge killing
Did someone leave your group so you are going after him constantly? Revenge killing.

Revenge killing does not mean you have to be killed before, nor does it have a time limit. Revenge killing means that you are attacking someone because you feel a hate towards them and want to attack them as a result.

As well, I do not believe I have to add "roleplay" in every sentence when your server is clearly a roleplay server. You've even said it yourself "Do not bother to log in if you are not here to RP".

You could've gone after him once, but for a roleplay motive. For example, if you're afraid of leakage, or something like that.

Revenge killing does not mean you have to be killed before, nor does it have a time limit. Revenge killing means that you are attacking someone because you feel a hate towards them and want to attack them as a result.

I do support that view, sorry for not adding it, except for the time limit. If you were killed by someone and you return the next minute with a different roleplay motive, then he'd be confused and I doubt it would be any good roleplay out of it.

The difference is that where is can be said in one line and all situations can be judged from it, you are trying to make a rulebook.

Now I know that in modern education the removal of common sense and own judgement in favour of a rule book is usual, but we do try to teach players the use of  their brain.

McGarrett.This text might be usefull,but you don't need a whole page text, to describe it.You have to make it not that big,with easily understood phrases and words, so the player will be in this topic to view it won't see the big text and get bored and say "And i will read all this now?I will better keep my opinion about what revenge killing is" or something like these.I suggest you to make it like that.A new player that don't know what revenge killing is,he/she will ask in /h something like this "/h what revenge killing is?" Answers:"/h when you get killed by someone and you go and kill him or when you kill someone and he/she comes back and kill you" .You think someone will ask in /h and get a simple small answer or go on forums that he maybe even have an account and read this big text?

That is called "Returning after death" not revenge killing.

I agree with you in this one.

But I have a question now:

Player A gets killed by Player B, they go to their own lifes and 1 hour later, Player B makes an absurd role play with Player A just to get reasons to kill him. Is this allowed :?:

In my opinion - no. Because you should have a roleplay based reason before you return to him, and that should not be killing instantly, but making a roleplay out of it. Such as torturing.

And moving bit further, getting killed and then asking your friend to kill the guy = revenge killing as well. You're dead, you can't do things like that.
