Argonath Administration has grown considerably and I am sure there would be time and space to accommodate some kind of a request feature for name changes, possibly?

There is no need to change it in the first place. We aren't going to add the ability just so people can become better at ban evading, hiding from punishments, and change their name every time they join a group.

If you have a valid reason to get it changed, just PM a forum Administrator. Seriously people, it's not difficult. If people didn't misuse the ability to begin with, it would not be restricted.

So as suggested a support ticket system where people can only request namechanges every certain number of months may work more effectively. This way the support team can review it and if it's not sensible then it will be denied and they'll have to wait another 6 months or so.

You would have a lot of people submitting false requests then. There is also nothing to limit them to 6 months, nor is there any way to track it. You're talking about creating a large system for something that would only have *maybe* 1-2 valid requests a year.

If there's no way to only allow users to submit requests every 6 months or so then it would be pointless and create more work for whoever deals with it. But if possible I think it should be considered.

As it currently stands, there's no way to enforce such a thing.
