For one, Argo is much more than just one server, so that argument in itself would be null.

Edit: Until a good idea is suggested which can regulate the flow of money throughout the server, then organisations such a BSF which spawns money will not run

Give us the ability to sell vehicles of all type, problem solved .
Player1 will buy the car for normal price, Player2 will buy the car off Player1 depending on it's 'condition'.. for lower money and etc... For the old ones, always had a way to make money from car sell-buys.. Ex; IcyAero ..

People are putting way too much value on this date, which is exactly why it should be removed.
Argonath has always had the policy that new and old players are equally valuabe, and the fixation on /whenmade disturbs that policy.

To those who oppose it, prove with one valid logic that a person with a 2012 /whenmade can't be a better roleplayer than a person with 2007 /whenmade.

Also everything should be reset no matter what, because even though I myself have around 2-3 million of assets in game, It'll be a fun journey climbing back to the top. As the topic owner said himself, some people have 100s of millions, and then don't even play as much as us anymore, what's the use of all that cash if they rarely login?

I think /whenmade command should be removed to EVERYONE except the administration, so they can check if player is regular.
That's because for a reason that Gandalf has once stated already - regular and veteran players get stricter punishments for rulebreaking than those just started playing.

Regular and veteran players get harsher punishments for a very good reason; they already know the rules, much more so than a player who just joined the server for the first time two minutes ago. Therefore, they have no excuse to be rulebreaking as if they did not have any experience.

If anything, the command should be moved back to where it was; available to the administration only. Protecting against hackers and scammers has already been our job anyway.

Yes, I can understand your point of view but the sentence is still pretty easy to understand even with that typo. You can't expect everyone in Argonath to speak English perfectly.

Exactly. However, I find it hard to identify the meaning of "to" with that of "from" as the same idea, since they are opposites. I do not think that conjunctions, though, are considered high-level english.

Sure, but I don't really want people running around with millions, owning the best mansions and cars without hard work. This was by no way directed at any specific group, but really. BSF pays millions every month. We don't have need for all that. You are not supposed to be driving an Infernus first month playing, really. Even your first car should be an accomplishment. Paychecks and prices are not in balance.

My first car (Elegant), and my first house (75k at Glen Park) were bought on some lucky pay checks, and later - on a prize for a good work out of game for a player.

Even now I try to spend less money that I can earn in a week.

Guys, don't look so negative on RS5, think about it, as fast as it's released and everybody keeps flooding in with registering, then there will be A LOT of paydays and lottos. Don't think that we'll have to start completely over again

We got rid of all of the moneyhungry people, figured out who was actually here for the benefit of the community and the roleplay, and everyone started as equal.
Sure, I might like my /whenmade of November 2007, but if people wanna question how long I've been here when we reset again, I'll tell them that I've been here since March 2007. I don't need /whenmade to say that. A useless command, very much on the same lines as /engine.
And the money? It's pixels. Sure, you worked for it, sure, you spent time getting it, but just try to think of the challenge it posed for you to gain it. It was difficult, and it might look daunting ahead of you, but rest assured - it will be just as fun and challenging to get it back this time. It looks like there will be many new ways of getting cash, so I'd like to make a plea to you all:
stop being so melodramatic about this; it's not the end of the world. In two years, you'll have a "1337" whenmade, people will respect you for that, you'll have money, cars, house, business, and you'll look back and be writing the exact same as I am when there is next a reset.
